We have a prospect that is using Remote Desktop. They have a business rule that when an incorrect product is scanned, they want to vibrate the XT15 to alert the user. Since this is data driven, is there a way to conditionally make the XT15 vibrate?
Is there a VBSCRIPT that could vibrate the XT15?
There are many examples on programmatically vibrating the device. Here is one on our forums: http://community.psion.com/knowledge/w/knowledgebase/713.how-to-programmatically-make-the-ikon-vibrate-how-to-ep10-as-well.aspx
In order to vibrate the device via VBSCRIPT, an ActiveX control would need to be generated to do this.
So the only way to operate the vibrate on the Omnii is with a custom EXE?
No command line argument or other open source script is available?
The only other way to vibrate the device 'out-of-the-box' so to speak is via scanner settings:
But this make the device vibrate on every good (or bad) scan. There is no way to configure it to vibrate on particular barcodes.
