We have had plenty of requests for customers moving from LF to UHF, however the Psion UHF reader is proving a difficult sell at the current price level as people have tested cheaper devices with UHF and found the results comparable! As we know tag costs have come down - do Psion have a pricing strategy to be more competitive for UHF?
I agree. The Psion UHF price has been the major barrier for us trying to break into the UHF market.
terry1 we had people moving to cheaper devices using UHF which is not ideal
Hi Andrew,
Have you seen the pricing of the NEO UHF reader released recently ?
This should help you win more projects !
Pierre
Pierre,
haven't seen the pricing however the unit would not be suitable for our customers due to the attachment needed. The WorkAbout UHF with a more sensible price works but unfortunately the UHF end cap for the WorkAbout is more expensive than a device that has proven to work as well at a customer who has been very loyal to the WorkAbout. They have decide it is time to move all 40 over, they have tested both and they are comparable apart from the cost.
