Hi All,
I've been told that the Psion can communicate with an ST M24LR16E-R device, link to the datasheet is at the bottom.
Its a 15693 compatible device with more memory than most 15693 tags and to access all the memory 16bit addressing must be used rather than 8bit and to to this the protocol_extension_flag (bit) must be set.
I'm informed that the device has been tried and tested with the Psion but they didn't know which module was used, we've also been told its compatible with the TagSys devices so Psion WAP3 with a TagSys module should work but our supplier can't get one for 4 week.
Can anyone confirm if they will wortogether for this?
Also will this work with the HID module as I have one here but couldn't find any reference to it in the documentation I have.

Hi,
Both Tagsys and HID modules do provide transperent mode commands.
You should use those commands and refer to the spceific command documentation of these specific tags to communicate with them.

One more point: the tests we did with this ST Micro chip were done with a high power Tagsys module, P032 family, because it does provide 1 W RF power.
Our partner Jidelec is proposing such RFID module.
