WAP G2/3 battery compartment micro switch

WAP G2/3 battery compartment micro switch

  • Has anyone else experienced the problem on a WAP G2/3 where the micro switch on the battery compartment cover fails and the unit then reports that no battery is detected? I've seen this problem maybe 6-7 times on around 50 devices - is it a common problem or am I just unlucky?

  • Hi Garnet -

Many thanks again for coming to the office to see me about this and other aspects.

I've certainly not experienced this problem personally, so I've logged a support case for you, I will be in touch shortly.

    Kind regards,

    James

  • Similar scope/symptoms, but it appears that swopping the main battery solves/transfer the problem of “No Battery”. We didn’t check yet for the micro switch option, but it could be, then possible a physical size related?

  • Hell Garnet,

When the battery cover micro switch fails, terminal wont start-up. I only seemed something like that when the LIF connector (or Coax cable) were damaged. I´m not sure if your problem is caused by LIF...have you ever tried to check the Firmware version? Is it running latest PowerMicro and Keyboard Controller versions?
