Hi,
is it possible somehow to set Internet Explorer to a fixed zoom position and "hide/remove" the zoom slider..
I need it for a web application, and dont want to "resize" the zoom level everytime i start the application.
best regards Jens Nygaard
Good afternoon Jens,
Although, I have not yet found a way to disable the browser "Zoom bar", let me share the below information with you, in case it helps.
Setting the below registry value to 0 (zero) will revert back the browser to the 'old' IE look and feel:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Internet Explorer]MSHTML REG_DWORD 1

This works Great Jaques,
Thanks for your help so far, but i'm hoping you have one more in the tank.
When i change this setting, i have to put in a value 00 00 00 00, which is fine, but it appears to disable the frames within the webpage i have built and redraw it quite squashed.
Does your genius extend to this issue or will i have to rebuild the page to cope?
Good morning Andrew,
Can you please elaborate when stating « it appears to disable the frames » or even better, provide some HTML code to illustrate your point?
For your information, I conducted the following test and quickly confirmed that the <frame> tag is supported :
è è
è
frame test.htm (compressed)
I do hope this helps.Kind regards,
Jacques
Hello together,
does somebody know how we can disable the zoom slide bar? We can´t go to old look of internet explorer because the application doesn´t function correct with old internet explorer style.
Have somebody an idea?
Thank you
Andreas
Setting the below registry value to 0 (zero) will revert back the browser to the 'old' IE look and feel: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Internet Explorer] MSHTML REG_DWORD 1 you need to download and install a 3. parts registry editer like PHM Registry editor..
Hello Jens,
sorry but we can´t go back to old style of internet explorer see my post before.
Second question how i can disable the input panel for adress (i mean where you insert the internet side for ex. www.google.de)? In old internet explorer you have the setting hide toolbar - yes i know it goes automatically but if you go to new page you see it again and we doesn´t want it.
Hi have somebody an idea that the adress input panel always show instead of hiding?
