Hi,As I know there is very good integration using 7530 G2 Hand Held .But we have a mixed handhelds including 7530 G2 , 7030 and 7035 ; all working in a NB infrastructure .My customer is going to launch SAP R3 .What solution do we have ? Is it possible to use MIS with all these devices ?
Our customers have systems with MIS and mixed type NB terminals. I guess all terminal with TESS emulation can connect to MIS without problem. If you have more than 20 NB terminals in a system MIS is the right solution because sapconsole with telnet server need much more bandwith than NB system has.
Thanks a lot . I,m going to install and running a MIS 3.5 demo and testing in a new thread :
I am happy to see your comments and advices there too
By install & config MIS , connecting by 7530 G2 is OK . But my old 3035 hand held does not work . Its two LEDs blinks fast and device stays in Base Initializing mode.
For enabling a new terminal :
I added new terminal and I set "Transaction" to console too . But there was no success.
How can I config that ?
Assuming your narrowband device is a Psion 7035, you need to make sure the device has a solid RF connection.
Is the CQ (channel quality) 100%?
what type of base station are you connecting to? (9130/ 9140/ 9150/ 9160)

Correction : But my old 7035 hand held does not work
These Narrow band hand held , has a dos based terminal . Now they are working with our applications .We want them to be used besides of other hand held with MIS .
Hi Luke,Actually I want to use 7530 G2 & 7035 together in MIS . Yes , my 7035 CQ msut be very good , because I'm testing with a 9150 gateway equipted with a dummy antenna near the handheld .It's two LEDs blinke fast , terminal stays in "Base Initialilizing mode" . In MIS panle you can not manage terminal ( No restart , No message sendind , ...)BREsfandyar
Check the tess aplication number in the 7035. It should match the number in the radio addresse of the 7035. Please also check the maximum terminal number in the controllers/mini-controllers host tab. Than check if the terminal number are created in the mis. When you create a new terminal in the mis you have to restart the service otherwise it will not work. I guess this is why restart and message sending does not work.
If you are using narrow band terminals, then you need to set up a controller, or a mini controller.
(If you already have other applications running on the narrow band terminals, then there is very likely a controller or mini controller available on the network).
*The controller device needs to be configured to support 9010/TCP/IP Protocol.
*The the controller device needs to be defined in MIS. Define a new base with the IP address and the port used (usually port 16100)
The terminal IDs you assign to the Narrow band terminals should not conflict with the IP connected devices. Each terminal ID must be unique.
