What cable do I need to make a Power Scan RF scanner to work with a 8585 PC?
Is it possible to get old Powerscan RF to work together with the new 8585 PC?
The Powerscan RF is labled with 0621110
Is this a wireless scanner with a base, or a cabled decoded scanner? If you have a USB port available you can use 9009388 (12ft.) or 9009399 (6ft.). If you ordered the 8585 with power configured to pin 9 you can use the RS232 dB9 cables and the part numbers for those are 7666-0231X3XXXRX (8ft) or 7666-0232X3XXXRX (12ft,)
Thanks for this answer :-)
Customer is using the old 8560 PC and the cables is not right to the new 8585 PC - and the new PC has power on the db9 plug.
If I use RS232 (7666-0231........) i need to use ComToKey on the 8585 PC?
On the 8580/90s I usually setup the "SerialKeys" located in Windows Accessibility feature of the control panel. it will most likely be the same on the 8585/95s.
SerialKeys is available if the 8585/ 8595 is running WinXP Pro/ WinXP Emb
SerialKeys is not available in Win Embedded Std 7. Here we can use Psion's ComToKey
