BMCONV utility, runs on the DOS commend line in Windows. Converts to and from the Psion/EPOC internal .MBM graphics format.

Mainly useful to people writing OPL programs for their Psions.

Run the utility to see its usage syntax.

File: Add-Remove plug-in for Control panel

It can be very handy to install Psion application .SIS files directly on the palmtop. If your Series 5 doesn't have 'Add/Remove' as an option already in its Control panel, then transferring this file, INSTEXE.EXE file to your Psion (e.g. on CF card or via My Psion) and then tapping on it in System will install the plug-in and then delete the .EXE automatically.

Patches that replace the original .APP files and allow Series 5mx owners to play the Games Arcade games at playable speed on the faster processors. In this download:

Bomz5. Download the Bomz5.app file and put it in the \system\apps\bomz5 folder, overwriting the original file.

File: OPL Software Development Kit for Windows (EPOC Release 5 'emulator')

Originally released as the "OPL Software Development Kit for Windows", this kit is better known for being the best way to run a virtual Psion on your PC (EPOC Release 5 'emulator'), for emergency extraction of data from backups, for example, after a Psion palmtop hardware failure.

Terrifically useful, though the usual caveats about perhaps running in a Windows 'compatibility mode' apply - this was designed for use back in the days of Windows 98 and Windows ME, after all!

File: netBook bootable ROM image

This is the ROM image that was supplied with each Psion netBook on CompactFlash card.

For anyone who has lost their CF card or who has re-used it and now needs the ROM image back, download this, unzip the archive and then make sure you read the enclosed TXT file for further instructions.
