The U.S. Energy Policy Act of 2005, passed by the U.S. Congress July, 2005, extended Daylight Saving Time (DST) in the U.S. by approximately four weeks. These four weeks are referred to in this article as the "extended DST period". This will affect the clock in certain areas in the USA and Canada, depending on the time zone.

Customers and partners are encouraged to download and install these on their affected terminals. All units shipped before or during the “extended DST period” (March- April 2007) will require these new updates. These updates will be incorporated into the next OS images to be released in the future.
