Introduction

The IKON battery has been designed for optimal performance and life. Part of the design includes a superior fuel gauging technology called Impedance Track¿. Previous battery fuel gauge solutions suffer from a decrease in accuracy once the battery starts aging but Impedance Track¿ overcomes these problems. Our initial release of this technology was a simple implementation. We have now improved and refined this even further through this required update.

Symptoms

If your battery is exhibiting the following behaviour it is required that the IKON be updated to one of the following releases listed in the resolution section of this TA.

  1. Batteries may exhibit higher than normal battery capacity.
  2. Batteries may exhibit lower than normal battery capacity.
  3. Batteries may exhibit false indication of no capacity.
  4. Batteries may have exhibited symptoms 2 or 3 but corrected themselves.

Resolution

Devices are required to be updated to one of the following software releases or later.
