The First Generation

Non-RoHS ("G0")

The first generation of the Workabout Pro was introduced under the model number 7525. It was the replacement for the Psion Workabout MX series of handheld computers. Tools were made available to help owners of Workabout MX computers port their programs to the new machine.

RoHS (G1)

With the change to lead-free RoHS construction, the Workabout Pro was redesigned. These new terminals looked and operated very similarly to the previous versions, and retained the model number 7525, but were referred to as the "G1" internally. At this time, the first generation was labeled as "G0".
