Hello Dlfinkberrow.

If all the EP10's (Good and Bad) are configured in the exact same way in the DSA supplicant settings, and in the "Advanced" tab in "WiFi Config" control panel applet, then I could concur with you that this might be a hardware issue. (if they are different, set the Bad units to be exactly the same settings as the good units. -- don't forget to reboot.)

I suggest contacting your regional Help Desk to open a ticket to followup, if the settings are the same and you still have issues.

I install the EV15 scanner on WAPG3 and don't work

Special Instructions

This software is approved for all Omnii products (XT10, XT15f, RT/XT15, XT15ni) with some known issues (see Limitations section below)
For Omnii devices with Imagers, it is recommended to use the ICS v17.0 release.
The OS image has not changed in this release. The System Properties should report version 3.0.29774. All changes are in firmwares and the Addon cab.

From what I've seen before, this is just Total Recall getting corrupted. A simple warm reset should fix this.

OS Update Precaution:

This software adds a feature that requires the \Flash Disk to be formatted. The installation process will erase the contents of the \Flash Disk. It is recommended to backup any data on the \Flash Disk that you will require after the OS update, on external storage device. A utility is available here to simplify Flash Disk backup.
This OS must use ICS version of 17.0 or more recent. It is not compatible with older ICS versions.
This release is not supported on the XT10 and therefore will not load.

Hi Sascha,

Good day! We always recommend that you manually backup the SQL database first before doing the upgrade. The installer will automatically back the database up in the process but it's better to have an insurance. Also, we suggest that you do a "stepped" upgrade. From v4, go to v6 first before going to the latest v9.

I am familiar with tradition narrow band implementations, and "green screen" solutions.

What I am attempting is not a traditional narrow band implementation.

My current solution runs on a 7535 terminal with WiFi. It is more of a client / server type solution, where a simple CE application (which takes care of all the UI) collects a small amount of data and then send it to the Host using a SOAP formatted message. It exchanges very little data (100-200 bytes every few minutes.) There is a desire to have this same application run on a narrow-band terminal. It is designed to work offline and sync data when there is a connection available.

in summary, a "green screen" solution is not an option

.NET makes this very easy to do over Wifi. I am hoping to be able use the Remote Socket API and send the same data to the same host.

I would need to use the Remote Socket API and open a connection to the host on port 80. (I think this can be done). I would have to format the message myself and be able to parse any response I get back.

Still looking for some practical example on how to use the Remote Socket API

I would like to modify the existing transaction (as it works well), and make as few changes as possible.

Problem:

Default configuration will not read GS1-128 barcodes

Resolution:

In Imager settings enable Gs1 'Emulate as Code128' in Barcoding tab, under 'Barcode Presets' for 'My Default' profile.

General Instructions:

1. Launch 'Imagers' from within Control Panel

2. In Barcoding tab, under 'Barcode Presets' activate 'My Default'

3. Click on [Edit], scroll down to Gs1, expand it to view and enable 'Emulate as Code128'

Reminder:

If unit is deployed with a Total Recall backup and restore profile, please delete it and create a new profile.
