I have a Psion scanner with Windows Mobile 6 Classic installed.
When I open Internet Explorer and type in the web server URL a message is displayed stating "Cannot connect with current connection settings."
I am able to connect to the internet from the scanner (i.e. www.google.com).
I am able to connect to the web server from the PC that the scanner is connect to.
I am able to view the scanners hard drive from the PC.
I am connecting to the PC via Windows Mobile Device center and I've made sure that all options are checked on the Windows Mobile Device Center Connection Settings. I've tried with "This Computer connects to:" set to Automatic, Work Network, and Internet. Still nothing.
I've tried a number of authentication settings on IIS such as Allowing Anonymous Access, Windows Authentication, Basic Authentication.
Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.
have you tried using the IP address instead of the FQDN of your target WEB server?

Hello ,
I would check this settings from MIcrosoft support site:
To connect to a network or the Internet
Connect your device to the computer. Windows Mobile Device Center starts automatically.
Do one of the following:
Click Change Connection Settings.
In the This computer is connected to list, select Automatic to use the most common settings, or select which specific device connection should use the network connection on the computer to "pass through" Windows Mobile Device Center
