  • Hi Vinay,

Would I be able to try and connect to your VPN server?  You can email me the server and credential information.  This will allow me to perform some trouble shooting of the connection.  My email address is paul.hedley@psion.com.

Virtual Private Networking | Windows Mobile 6.5

Windows Mobile supports Virtual Private Networking (VPN). The VPN support in Windows Mobile includes Layer Two Tunneling Protocol (L2TP)/IP Security Protocol (IPSec) and Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP). L2TP/IPSec enables enhanced security for virtual private network (VPN) client connections from Windows® phones to corporate servers. PPTP is a network protocol that adds a security infrastructure for the transfer of data from a remote client to a private enterprise server, thus creating a VPN by using TCP/IP-based data networks.

  • Hi Vinay,

The document you attached shows a working connection.  At what point in this process does your connection not work?  Does it ever get connected?  Does it connect and then disconnect?  One problem could be the server address that you are using and how this works with Connection Manager.  See the link below for more information on using internet\intranet connectins with Connection Manager.

  • Hi paul,

We have checked this, the VPN disconnects whenever we try to Ping or run the application.

We have checked with Laptop, android phone and Imate (WM 5.5), the sever works fine with it.

    Thanks and regards,
