Hi,
I am a bit curious about the out come of this discussion because I have a customer that have exact same problem.
All Ikon’s at the customer have the same configuration and the pdb.ini structure on the Ikon’s are the same, but some Ikon’s is showing psioninfo data in MCC and other doesn’t.
At the moment I have more or less given up on this and helpdesk could not provide me with a solution that solves this problem.
Regards
Lars
Hi Lars, exactly this is happening to me, i raised to the ticket, and the helpdesk commented to me, that the ticket must be canalized to programmers, for review the package or the OS image.
Only we have to wait for the solution

Hi Jose,
First of all, thank you for the additional information. I just learned recently that a trouble ticket has been opened for this issue and the ticket owner was able to reproduce your problem on a WAP G2 WM6.1 Pro Spanish build.
As per the trouble ticket, you have been made aware of this progress and what our next action item(s) will be.
Once again, thank you for giving us the opportunity to assist you.

Will the Psioninfo packages also work with MobiControl?
Hi Blake,
Your post is a bit old but I like to answer that I think yes.
The structure of the packages for Mobile Control Center and MobiControl is the same.
The role of the psioninfo´s package is copy in the root of the terminal the application psioninfo.exe. When this application is copied, the package execute it. This action generate a file called sysinfo.ini.
This file contains the same info that System Properties (WinCE) or About Device (WMobile).
In Info View, using a Custom Data option, you can view this extra info.

Hey everyone.
Is there a way to create/use an info package that will work on both CE 4 & 5? I have a VERY large mixed fleet of both 4 & 5.

Hello,
If it could help, I have also seen this subject. I did not do deep research on this, but my first impression is that psioninfo.exe does not execute periodically so sysinfo.ini is not updated, I would need to execute it with some script or similar.

the link for the sysInfo package is not working anymore.

is there another way to get a hold of the packages? or can they be taken out of the builtin packages in MCC version 6 ?
Hi John,
What is the current version of your MCC?
I may be able to send you the copies of PsionInfo
Bonjour à tous,
Pour info les packages Sysinfo sont désormais inclus par défaut sous MCC V7.02;

Hi Everyone!
See this...
community.psion.com/.../10176.aspx
It works with CE 4.2 and CE 5.0 and MCC 6.03 (WAPS G1 and WAPS 3)

HI,
Using packages preinstalled Psioninfo to MCC 7.02. Everything works fine, it's cool.
BUT i realize that my terminals do not sleep. They wake up alone after a few seconds.
What can be happening ???!!
Thanks,
Hi Ed,
do you have a DATA COLLECTION RULE on your terminals? We have had a rule to collect battery stats and because of that our waps wake up every two minutes.
Kindest regards,
Hi Daniela,
EXACT !!! I had forgotten this rule..
Now, they remain on standby... Cool
Thank-you very much for your post !!
Thank you for sharing! just a reminder about PsionInfo packages, for it to work, you must create a Deployment Rule to install it and use Custom Data to add/ show other terminal specific information such as serial number.
