7035 TekTerm

This question is answered

Hi,

A customer runs 7035 with OTT, connected to SAP via Telnet server. Solution is provided by unknown 3-d party and no documentation is available. 7035 replace with WAP is under discussion.

Can anybody advice a tool/approach to upload the OTT settings (and start.bat if necessary) from the 7035?

  • Hello krassimir. Kevin is right about transposing Windows OTT settings into a DOS based 7035. The information I gave you is to allow you to copy or backup the current settings you have in your 7035 and place them into another 7035. If you require tranferring the information from a Windows based device to a DOS based device then you will need to have them placed side by side. In this way you can "copy" the information to the Windows OTT unit.

Hope this clears up the information provided.

  • Thanks Scott,

Would you advise how to get WinTermX. I'll look for a cable to test your proposal

  • The settings for the DOS terminal are not portable to a WinCE or WinMobile terminal.

I think you will need to do a side-by-side manual config of a single WAP to roughly match the the 7035. After that you should be able to use a tool such as WinTermX to deploy to the remaining TekTerm and Scanner settings.

  • Thanks Kevin,

The problem is that the terminals are busy and we can not take one for long enough.
