We are using the 7535G2's and we have a tethered handheld scanner attached to them.
My problem is when i first set them up 3 years ago we had this same issue, it would not see the scanner that was attached to it.
We have sent one in for repair now I'm back to where i was 3 years ago with default settings and the external scanner does not show up, and i don't remember what we did to fix this.
If i remember right it was just a setting that i was missing that made it work ?
thanks
Hi Scott,
Good day! Can you tell us what type of scanner are you connecting to the 7535G2 & what is the part number of the cable that you are using?
Thanks,
Alain
Number on the cable is 1916471-314 Rev. A
and the gun it goes to is (s/n)M1K73L28U
On your 7535G2, go to Start/Settings/Control Panel/Teklogix Scanner/Ports. Make sure that the tether port is enabled.
It has Tether port Com 1, and doesnt show disabled, but there is no enable option beside it either.
There should be a "+" symbol on the left of the Tether port. Click on that & it should expand the options. What options do you have?
Baud:9600
Data Bits:8
Parity: None
Stop Bits:1
Down below there is a Port Replicator Tether with the same settings on Com 6, along with no disable or enable
Did you try swapping the scanner / cable with a known working combination? If yes, did the problem follow the 7535G2 or the scanner? Problem could be hardware-related.
i took the Cable / Scanner Gun from another Working 7535G2 and it wont work on this one. But all the cables/guns work on the other ones i have, but none will work when plugged into this one.
At this point, I would suggest that you send the 7535G2 to the depot to have the tether port checked.
