We have a Neo that I can't seem to figure out how to make the sounds heard by the users. Another unit we have works fine. I've been in the control panel and have turned up the volume with no success. Any ideas?
Also, when I put this unit in its cradle, the red light on the cradle keeps blinking.

Nick
Good afternoon Nick,
Are both units running the same OS?
E.g.- Windows CE 5.0 Core- Windows CE 5.0 Professional- Windows Mobile 6.1 Classic
Regards,Jacques
Both units are runnning Windows CE.NET 5.0
Nick,
Are they both running Windows CE 5.0 Core or Professional?
Hi Nick
Welcome to the community. Can you please post the system properties of the Neo from the flash disk.
What kind of dock are you using?
Single desktop dock-PX3001
or
Desktop Dock with Integrated V.92 Analog Modem-PX3008
Regards
RR
The "good" one is running Pro, the "bad" one is running Core.
For your information, NEO Core units do not have a speaker, hence no sound support.

Thank you Jacques. Is is possible to use Bluetooth to get sounds to play?
For your information, although our NEO core device product range does not have with a receiver (I.e. a speaker), it comes with a built-in beeper.(For example, if you read a barcode, does your NEO CE 5.0 Core unit emit a beep?)
This said, as far as I know, the NEO built-in Bluetooth radio supports Bluetooth headsets / audio.
For the PX3001 there are two options here depending on the duty cycle of the red flashing light.
This info in taken from the PX3001 User Manual
1) PX3001 charge LED Flashes Red at a 25% of the 100% rate
When this happens you have an over charged battery
2) PX3001 charge LED Flashes Red at a 50% of the 100% rate
This indicates the you have connected the wrong adapter
No, I can't get even a beep out of this unit. The Bluetooth does seem to work with sounds.
What do you mean be "wrong adaptor"? The USB adaptor? FWIW, I have another dock which works fine in the same USB port.
The AC to DC power adapter should supply an
output voltage or 6V
and current rating of 2.5A
If the blinking red led happens on the bad unit with HHP 5X80 then try upgrading the OS to
Win CE 5.0 Core OS to J040

And you can also upgrade the HHP 5X80 drivers. You will need to contact Help Desk to get the latest driver.

Nick ForakisNo, I can't get even a beep out of this unit.
Could you please give the attached Sound Test program a try and let me know if your NEO CE 5.0 Core unit emits a beep as the [ Beep ] button is hit?

Yes, it does beep. How did you do this?
