- Omnii XT15 win CE v4

- EA20X avec les drivers version 17

-regle de remplacement : rechercher et remplacer : \001D par @

le code à lire est :

240100075GS1514052610LO00001GS94SAC2KG

mais quand je lis le code avec le terminal, j'obtient :

240100075GS1514052610LO0000194SAC2KG

Si je remplace SAC2KG par SAC20KG, cela fonction:

dans ce cas, le code contient et on le lit correctement avec les 2 caractères GS

240100075GS1514052610LO00001GS94SAC20KG

avez vous une idée

i add a replacement rule : search and replace \001d by @

in the first bare code, the data is : 240100075GS1514052610LO00001GS94SAC2KG

but i read : 240100075@1514052610LO0000194SAC2KG

If i replace SAC2KG by SAC20KG in the second bar code, the data is :

240100075GS1514052610LO00001GS94SAC20KG

and i read

240100075@1514052610LO00001@94SAC20KG

do you know this issue

USB - RS232

Hello!
I have replaced my computer and now I have one without a serial port and bought a USB to RS232 adapter installed and identified as COM4, although the TheSpeech server can not find the the Talkman T5 that I try to load a device profile through serial. And no activity when I try to connect via Putty to the device either. I have tried with 3 T5: s. Bits per second is set to 9600, 8 data bits, no parity and 1 stop bit. I have set up about 100 talkman before so I know how to set the Talkman in config mode.

So my question is have any of you had any problems with an adapter? And is it posible to order a USB config cabel insted of the RS232 cabel?

7515 OS Upgrade Problem

I'll copy 7515os.img (Device Windows Upgrade image) to my device Flash (Seem it is my mistake), after restarting device some command execute on BootSt with errors, this process repeats and repeats and I can't stop that , Please help, how can I delete this file from my Flash without windows start, how can I Cancel upgrade process?

Please help, how can I cancel this process, I can use key 2 to enter YModem mode, but it fails after 10 seconds. Other BootSt commands runs also, but update process restart after that.

Remapping Power Key - XT15

I am trying to remap the Enter key when Fn Locked to the Enter key with no modifier, since the Fn+Enter is the Power Key. I've tried the following 3 lines, but none seems to work. Thanks. Also, is the key remap only in the scope of the application that calls it, or is it global for the device?

We have users the experience a reboot on their device then are unable to log back into SAP from the particular unit the reboot happened from.

We have to wait 20 minutes before the gun is able to be used again.

Sound issues on Psion 7530

I have 5 Psion 7530 G2's and two of them will not play a wav file... I goto the windows directory and launch the DemoSound and then select Ring.wav and no sound come out and the progress bar runs across the screen. Do I have a blown speaker... Key clicks and screen clicks work fine..

I already know how to turn on / off some of the settings (e.g. the scan indicator) so was hoping there's a master setting to achieve this.

MCC refresh error

We install MCC on one of our clients and they encountered a problem regarding the updates of units if its online or offline. i gave an instruction to refresh the MCC and even to restart the PC where MCC is installed and they encountered the same problem the number of units online displayed on MCC is not tally on the Actual number of online units. any advice regarding this problem?

Power off / on log

Hi,

Is there a way to retrieve information / log when the device is being switched on and off?

We are running a kiosk mode app in "always-on" environment (suspend mode disabled) and since it incorporates GPS Tracking there might be an incentive for our users to switch it off from time to time in order to go "off the grid". Since suspend is not available anymore this could probably only be achieved by taking the battery out or letting it discharge completely. What would be the best way to monitor / tackle this? Ideally we would like to be able to see that user has taken the battery out at certain time and put it back in some time later.

I have found to disable the SIP over registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER/ControlPanel/Sip but how can disable that the keyboard symbol are show.

TekBSS and 7530G2 NB

Hello,

A customer of us that uses 7035NB and 9140 with TRX7345 (yes, its still running!!!) purchased one 7530G2 NB with OTT Version 5.2.21209.0 and datacodes OS Code: D132n / Boot Code D132n / Pcon D132n.

The problem is that when Cold Boot the 7530 G2, and Total Recall runs, terminal won´t connect until a Warm Reset is executed or shutting down TekBSS and start again. Sometimes, even shutting down the service, only with a Warm Reset terminal got a login screen.

Customer developed their own application. Its a very simple App using SDK and 3 terminals: one 7530G2 and two 7035. TekBSS version is 2.3-15.

The interesting thing is that 7035 runs fine. By the way during last 10 years, 7035 ran fine using the same application.

Any tip to solve that problem?

How to configure a Cognex DataMan 100 scaner??

Hi:

I have a Psion Teklogix Workabout Pro G2 hand held computer and I have a scanner Cognex DataMan 100. It worked fine until someone do a cold and a warm reset to the handheld, now the scanner does not work.

I use the "Total Recall" but it doesn't work.

Searching through internet I found that I have to install software or driver into the handheld to use the scanner but I can not find it anywhere. Can you help me?

terminal 8525 powering with wall PSU ?

in short: is there any powering solution outside a vehicle ?

long story: Our terminals 8525 have CLA-plugs. My intention is to test the terminals indoor (not in the vehicle). So I need kind of a adapter from CLA to wall mount (Euro) plugs. I come around some cheap AC/DC-converters but support ends at 1000mAh.

Any idea with this ? thanks!

We have a customer with 25 XT15.

- Windows CE

- Software version 3.1.26119

Under certain circumstances (irregular and not reproducable) it is not possible to restart the single devices after a shutdown.

It seems, that there was some kind of fix helping in this matter in the softwareversion 4.0.29702.

Actually i see two newer softwareversions:

4.0.29702 and 6.0.32066

Questions:

1) Do these two softwareversions solve the issue "not powering up after shutdown"?

2) Are these two versions stable versions? I.e. field tested?

3) Which version is preffered in terms of stability?

Scanning problems within form (EP10)

hello everybody,

i recently got my hands on a psion ep10 and its a great device overall.

i've been working with a customer on a app/programm (WM 6.5) for a while now (prior to the ep10 i've been working with honeywell-devices) and am now encountering some problems with the scan-module.
unfortunately i can't post the whole project (which is programmed/deployed with visual studio 2005 and MDSDK 5.4 btw.) for obvious reasons, but i'll post the snippets which are giving me problems.

so basically i'll start with a menu-list and one of the menu-items needs that scanner-component (frmArtikelsuche).
on this form, i need the scanner to be enabled all the time, and not being initialized upon a button-click or some other event.
i read through the sample-projects and have been using this (http://community.psion.com/downloads/developer_sdkhdk/m/sample__demo_code/34536.aspx) example.

so i have my scannerhelper.vb included and am calling the scanner as following -> http://pastebin.com/AYqXS2Sh (i tried to keep the code small and clean)

i played around with it a bit, but am also confused bit to be honest.
i got different error-messages (stackoverflow/null-reference most of the time)

so to summarize things up:

- i need the scanner always "ready" on the given form (frmArtikelsuche).
- the user comes in, scans his barcode, barcode is written to the textbox.
- frmArtikelsuche stays still open at this point (i have some SQL-operations after that with scanned barcode)

I am using Psion Teklogix 7545 model device for RF scanning.

Problem with Ep10 camera

we have a big problem with Ep10 camera in our projects we use the library DirectShowNETCF ... but often after acquiring some photos the camera turns black image ...( this problem doesn't occurs on others type of devices)

Now I am trying your native library CameraCtrlPtx ... but even here we have the same problem ... some times... the preview doesn't start and after few seconds we recive an error in takepicture method...the only way to restart the preview is reboot the device .

Change all buttons to RFID.

At present side buttons are RFID and Trigger Button is barcode scan.

OMNI RT15 does NOT power ON and NO blinking LED while in cradle.

Hello,

I just bought 16 of this type of Psion, one of them seems now totally death.

When it stays in the cradle there is NO blinking LED visible.

When I try to power on all screen and LED keep black.

I tried to interchange the battery, but had the same results..all stays black...........

Any idea what is causing this probem and how to solve it?
