I need your help please with installation of Imager WA9007 to Workabout PRO. There are very little infos about this variant. Product name:WA9007 "Imager 2D Slim Pod (does not work with any Pistol Grip)". P/N: 1050273 or -74 ? or -149 ?
I assume it has a Engine Symagery SX5393. I can not find this option neither in G0/G1 nor G2 boot menue.
what is the right configuration please ? thanks for any help.
Chris
Christoph Pulster Update: Imager WA9007 has no pistol grip option at all (WAP G1 WM5 manual, page 299 contents wrong information). Imager WA9007 with G1 unit, scanner #5, SX5393 works now. Imager WA9007 with G2 unit does not work at all.

Hi Christoph,
I am glad to hear the good news. For the WAPro G2 WinCE, please install the Imager CAB file. Below is a ZIP file containing the imager CAB file date code L029q.
5700.IMAGER_INSTALL_ALL_DECODED_CE5_1.2.806_L029q.zip
Hope this helps.

Chris, I found that particular scanner model was discontinued. I had trouble finding any information on it as well. I did find the pistol grip associated with that scanner, WA6002-G1.
The replacement for the WA9007 is listed as WA9212-G1 per an engineering change.

My name is Luke with the Help Desk. About the WA9007-G1 2D Imager Module Installation, please download the manual:

Thanks for your help, I am going to love this new community.
Michael: imager WA9007 seems not support officially any pistol grip, pistol grip WA6002 is only for imager WA9010, but I may crosscheck it.
Luke: I am stuck with the scanner configuration in the boot menue. The installation sheet suggest to choose scanner no.5 "Symagery ImagePak 5390" - but this option does not show up.
I checked it with two different units:
1) WAP G2, rev 7, production date 01/2010, BooSt J019q, Powermicro J299p, Kbd J299p, built J019q, CE0409, so latest variant. - no scanner 5 to pick.
2) WAP G1 with CE4.2, latest OS updated, no SYmagery ImagePak 5390 to pick.
I tried a lot similar scanner like Symagery SX5393, but none does make the imager to respond and work.
I found this info, but do not understand it well:
community.psionteklogix.com/.../ics-support-on-ptx-devices.aspx
engine SX5393 which is built in imager WA9007 seems not to be supported with WAP G2 at all !?
It says "not supported = not avl. to customers directly" and "On the 7527 before the release of ICS, scanner ID code 51 enabled the Symagery 5393 series of imagers." - does this mean I have to downgrade the OS system (install a older version of OS) ?
sorry for all the questions, please note, I am not talking about a single unit, but a project of 300pcs WA9007 scanner installation. so any help from Teklogix side is welcome,
thanks, Chris
I installed the provided 5700.* File and WA9007 with G2 works like a charm now. Excellent 5***** support, Luke thanks a lot !
Great job! We are very glad to know that both GEN of WAPro are now working fine with the WA9007 imager.
Once again, thank you for giving us the opportunity to assist you and on behalf of the Help Desk, a big thanks for your compliment!
Cheers,
Luke, I need another time your help please. Imager WA9007 with CE units work perfectly fine. Now I have to install the imager also with WM units. The .CAB driver does installa also on Win Mobile, but after reset, the imager does not react to scanner buttons. - the 5700.* cab is a CE5 only driver ? can you also provide a solution for WM systems ? many thanks, Chris
To specify: WM6 driver work fine - IMAGER_INSTALL_ALL_DECODED_WM6_1.2.806_L029q
however pressing yellow scanner button 2sec. unit powers off !?
what I miss is WM2003SE suport (WAP G1).
1830.Imager CAB ver. F238m for WM2003.zip
Christoph Pulster what I miss is WM2003SE suport (WAP G1).
Hi Chris,
Please try the attached Imager Control Services (ICS) CAB file - IMAGER_WM3_CAB_13.0.592_F238m.cab - for 7525-G1 WM2003 SE:
1488.Imager CAB ver. F238m for WM2003.zip
I tested it here and works fine. See below some screen shots taken from my test unit.
Hope this helps and let us know the results.

Hello Luke,
i have the same problem with the scanner. When i will install this cab onto my WAP G1 it says PTS device is unavailable.
Tried several ways with no succes :(
Hi Funlight,
Welcome to the community!
About the WAPG1 with a WA9007 (SX5393) scanner issue, is your device running on the same system software version shown i.e. Windows Mobile 2003 SE with the below date code?, if not is software upgrade an option you can try?
Have you tried starting all over again from a "factory reset"?
1. Set/ Confirm that the Scanner ID is set to 5 - Symagery SX5393 in BooSt mode*
(*) Boot the device into BooSt by pressing and holding the Blue + Enter + Left Scan button for 7 seconds.
2. Clean Start - while in BooSt mode, From the 7525 boot menu, select ! - Clean start main OS by pressing [Shift] then [1].
Warning:
3. Install the appropriate addon .CAB file
4. Install Imager Control Services (ICS) CAB file - IMAGER_WM3_CAB_13.0.592_F238m.cab - for 7525-G1 WM2003 SE:
1258.Imager CAB ver. F238m for WM2003.zip
failing the above , I suspect that we either have a faulty WAPG1 or a faulty scanner module. If you have any other other units to test with please do so. For faulty units - hardware related - please send it in for repair.
Hope this helps

Hello,
I have make the imager work after the windows restart.
But it does not respond to the yellow buttons. I can only operate it from the imager software.
I have attached my "about device" information.
Thank you very much for the support.
Also i forgot to mention that i had to install MS Framework 3.5
